STOP PRESS: A SAFER NAVARRE!
Just got word that the Department of Transportation has officially approved the Fire Department's request to install the Opticom system on Hwy 98.
Opticom is a traffic control system that provides a green light - and therefore intersection right-of-way - to emergency vehicles, meaning that they can get to your emergency quicker and most importantly, in the safest way possible. Kudos to Fire Commissioner and NABOR Realtor® Lauretta Aiken for all her efforts on this important community initiative!
NEW FLORIDA WEB PAGE EXPLAINS SEPTIC TANK LAW
The Florida Department of Health (DOH) unveiled a new website designed to help Floridians and local governments understand new septic tank requirements outlined in House Bill 1263, which the Florida Legislature passed earlier this year. Florida Realtors backed the change, which eases a mandatory septic tank inspection.
The new law gives local governments flexibility, though that means septic tank laws can change from county-to-county. To help Floridians and local governments understand the new rules, the DOH developed an informational webpage with information on services and how the law may impact their areas.

HAVE YOU MET YOUR NAR ETHICS REQUIREMENT? CHECK HERE!
To comply with the National Association of REALTORS® Cycle 3 requirement, you must complete a 2 and 1/2 hour Ethics Training Course sometime between January 1st, 2009 and December 31st, 2012.
Please click here to check the list and verify if you have met the ethics requirement or not. If your name is on the list you have met the requirement; if it is not on the list you will need to complete an Ethics Training Course either in class or online prior to December 31st, 2012. NABOR is offering the Ethics Course on the following dates at the NABOR office ($15 per member):
