For potential home purchasers, there’s information on how to budget effectively and take advantage of some of the many affordable housing schemes and grants designed to get your “American Dream” started. For many, today represents the biggest buying opportunity in a generation with themany incentives in the marketplace. For example, many homebuyers – especially those purchasing their first house or condominium – are eligible for local, state and federal incentive programs: The Florida Housing’s First Time Homebuyer Program (FTHB). The program offers qualified first-time buyers a 30-year fixed interest rate mortgage loan through a network of participating lenders and lending institutions. Florida Housing also offers down-payment and closing-costs assistance to eligible borrowers, which can greatly reduce out-of-pocket expenses for the buyer.
There will be all the information you need about the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit of up to $8,000 which has been extended to April 30, 2010 and expanded to grant up to $6,500 credit to current home owners purchasing a new or existing home between November 7, 2009 and April 30, 2010.
